London-born, Cambridgshire based artist.
Drawing is the central thread of Charles Gouldsbrough's work. He also paints, prints, saws and sews to make Art, to design and for illustration.
After leaving the Slade in 2010 he set up Gimlet Bar a cocktail bar with a distinct modernist British Naval Æsthetic, making the collapsible zinc topped bars and white livery himself. As well as providing seasonal cocktails of their own invention to parties they also provide restaurants with their own brand of cordials. It is a business and a living work of art.
He is currently working on clothing inspired by the waistcoats of the Italian Futurist Fortunato Depero and a set of Razzle Dazzle Decoy ducks.
